Senior Commercial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Manager to lead and manage commercial functions for our EPC projects. This role is a key position in the project management team reporting to the project manager. The role will provide commercial, financial and contract support to project teams, ensuring alignment with our commercial management requirements in pricing, risk management, contract administration, change management, and disputes negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial Management: Responsible for commercial alignment from handover to project close-out, and act as the project team’s focal point for commercial & contractual matters.
• Project Execution & Risk Management: Oversee all commercial and contract matters, including project initiation, risk mitigation, and performance monitoring to achieve gross margin and cash management targets.
• Contract Management: Ensure compliance with prime contract terms, advise on potential claims, and support project teams in meeting contractual obligations.
• Financial Oversight: Collaborate with project control and finance teams to track revenue, gross margins, and cash flow, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Change & Claims Management: Lead change management processes, ensuring commercial entitlement and managing potential claims and disputes effectively.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to align commercial strategies with business objectives.
• Leadership & Team Management: Guide and mentor commercial teams, ensuring adherence to company policies and commercial best practices.
• Proposal & Commercial Support: Provide commercial and contractual advice to sales teams, assisting in the development of commercial strategies, risk assessment, and contract negotiations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Engineering, Law) or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of experience in commercial management, project controls, contracts, or supply chain within the engineering and construction industry.
• Background in EPC project management and knowledge or relevant industry standards.
• Strong knowledge of industry-standard contracts (FIDIC, NTK) and experience managing commercial risks in engineering services projects.
• Proven ability to develop and execute commercial strategies, manage risk, and drive financial performance.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience managing teams and working collaboratively with cross-functional project groups.
