Our assignments are increasing and we are looking for more employees to strengthen our sales and sparepart sales team.
Function purpose:
The Spares & Service Sales Engineer role will primarily involve working mainly from spares side to identify and find possible opportunities for added value in the offerings from spares & service sales. An active approach will be crucial to keep track of incoming inquiries, understanding and identifying the needs from the client and the potential added value that can be harvested from both spares and service sales – resulting in increased revenue and a good customer experience with offerings covering A-Z spares & services.
A proper functioning sales setup is crucial for Palfinger Marine to work efficiently and deliver best-in-class After Sales and Customer Services. The Spares & Service Sales Engineer will keep a continuous focus on identifying and combining spares and service opportunities by monitoring of incoming spares / service inquiries received from clients and regions and will link to the service team when needed.
Spares & Service Sales Engineer will keep the focus on establishing and following good working procedures that can be distributed in the team. Identifying sales leads and actively approaching clients is a part of the daily follow up. Spares & Service Sales Engineer will be a close link between Spares & Service, reaching out to Product Experts whenever necessary for support and assistance to identify technical requirements and optional solutions.
The ultimate responsibility of this role is to make sure that Palfinger Marine is providing professional aftersales services both to direct clients and Palfinger Marine regions. The results are contributing to meet the Global Marine Customer Service Performance goals.
Main tasks:
· Sales of Spare parts and Service to clients and regions
· Procurement and negotiations towards suppliers, follow up the deliveries from supplies, logistics and packaging for spare parts.
· Responsible for booking and invoicing clients and regions
· Follow up quotations and sales leads
· Active sales work
· Actively search for Spares & Service combinations and added sales opportunities
· Booking of incoming invoices
· Participate in internal / external meetings
· Sales knowledge transfer between spares & service
· Continuously improve internal routines and procedures related to Spares
· Identifying and forwarding/combining possible sales leads with Spares/Service Regions.
· Establish efficient internal lines of communication to Spares/Service Regions.
· Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance.
· Follow company HSEQ policy
· Participate and contribute to a positive company future with ONE TEAM / ONE MARINE
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Good technical understanding
· Technical and or commercial education
· Good computer skills, experience with Axapta or similar systems and MS Excel is desirable
· Excellent communication skills
· Systematic and detail oriented
· Handling of customer and relations
· Good English language written and oral
· Ability to develop good relationships with customers and suppliers – worldwide.
