As Risk & Insurance Specialist you will be the focal point responsible for overseeing and advancing the enterprise risk management framework and insurance processes for the Norwegian Business Unit.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Focal point to all insurance related matters in Harbour Energy Norge, collaborating closely with the Insurance department at HQ. Provide ad-hoc advice on projects when necessary.
- Focal point to all financial guarantee related matters in Harbour Energy Norge, working in coordination with Treasury and Commercial departments at HQ.
- Lead integrated internal and external risk management approach (e.g. via ERM IT Solutions such as PIMS, Crisam) in close collaboration with Management, the Business and the Risk Management department at HQ.
- Coordinate the calculation and provision of insurance values and other relevant data for renewal and establishment of new insurance policies, including Construction All Risk policies.
- Verify insurance charges and establish cost allocation for Accounting and provide inputs to Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) and Long Range Plan (LRP).
- Continuously review risk and exposures, aligning them against the insurance program. Develop new or revise insurance program where necessary.
- Coordinate and follow up on insurance claims to ensure efficient resolution.
- Support Procurement and M&A teams on insurance-related aspects of contracts and transactions.
- Focal point to asset managers for economic / finance related matters on assigned assets.
- Provide economic analysis for exploration, investment and business development projects.
Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business administration, or related field.
- Several years of relevant experience in Finance and/or Insurance.
- E&P knowledge and experience for a good understanding of company risks.
- Self-motivated to drive Risk and Insurance topics.
- Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to management.
- MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Team player with strong coordination skills and interdisciplinary experience.
- Strong analytical abilities with ability to see the bigger picture.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
