Reporting to the Chief People Officer this role has a global reach and will be pivotal in bringing a forward-thinking L&D approach to building competencies and skills essential for the present and future, ensuring we're always a step ahead in the industry and able to support the organisation through changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Deliver L&D Strategy: Develop and implement a forward-thinking learning and development strategy with measurable KPIs to build critical skills and future capabilities across the organisation.
- Lead the implementation of global L&D initiatives, ensuring alignment across all countries and fostering innovation within diverse teams.
- Shape Leadership Excellence: Create and embed Höegh Evis unique leadership philosophy, fostering inclusive, adaptive, and high-impact leaders at all levels. Collaborate with leadership to design inclusive training programs that foster equity and belonging.
- Advance Talent Management: Partner with the Chief People Officer to design and execute succession planning and performance management strategies, ensuring readiness for future business challenges.
- Drive Cultural and Strategic Initiatives: Lead cross-functional teams on culture-building projects, including AI implementation, ESG social impact programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Cultivate External Partnerships: Identify and work with best-in-class external providers to deliver cutting-edge, scalable, and tailored training solutions.
- Champion DEI and Inclusion: Integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into all learning and leadership development initiatives to foster a culture of belonging.
About You:
Experience: Your depth of experience is invaluable, and while familiarity with the shipping industry is an advantage, it's not obligatory.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in human resources and at least 5 years of prior experience in a Learning & Development role, supporting corporate functions and working directly with Senior leadership. Executive coaching is a plus.
- Demonstrates business acumen and the ability to understand and analyze strategic, complex business and culture drivers and translate them into critical talent strategies.
- A strategic and curious mindset to grow and adapt with the company and in support of our strategy.
- Ability to effectively lead, plan, organize, and execute tasks and projects within designated timeframe while balancing short term and contributing to long-term vision.
- Proven track record of raising leadership awareness and creating alignment across teams and levels within the company.
- A flexible, agile, and resilient approach to working in a dynamic ever-changing organizational environment.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and bring clarity and a data driven approach.
- Technological Proficiency: Microsoft Office tools, especially TEAMS, PowerPoint, and Excel and Co pilot.
