Senior Project Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in our Leer (DE) or Oslo (NO) office on a staff basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on some of the world’s largest current and upcoming Offshore Windfarm projects. You will be supporting engineering scopes across Cables, Foundations and EPCI projects - with the opportunity to be involved in tendering for large scale offshore wind projects.
What will you be doing?
- Review foundation or platform design for suitability of installation operations,
- Prepare and review and/or approve offshore execution procedures, including Risk Assessments.
- Prepare Task Plans and Quality Control Plans for Operations.
- Review subcontractor and client documents.
- Provide guidance to other engineers with respect to offshore installation methods.
- Plan assigned tasks and keep project team informed on progress and schedule.
- Able to work under limited supervision. Discuss issues with colleagues to find workable solutions.
- Liaise with task contributors / stakeholders and participate in project meetings.
- Resolve technical queries and recommend solutions to engineering problems.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and relevant codes.
- Supervise/mentor juniors and graduates.

- We encourage applications from those with a relevant Bachelor and/or Master degree (for example Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering) and will also consider those with equivalent technical qualifications or experience
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience within the offshore energy industry – subsea cables-, umbilical / flexibles- or foundation installation experience would be an advantage.
- Thorough knowledge of working methods, planning and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of standards and relevant rules and regulations for the offshore industry and offshore installation projects
- Resourceful with problem-solving abilities.
- A practical approach and good communication skills
- Willingness to travel abroad to offices / sites and sometimes offshore to our vessels is preferred.
