Independent E&I Engineer - Opportunities in Stavanger

Job Description

• Contribute to CTR activities and bids, both for installations and project-related tasks.
• Study and manage project execution within drilling facilities on fixed platforms.
• Provide Electrical, Instrumentation, and Drilling Control field engineering support.
• Follow-up with suppliers and vendors.
• Provide field hook-up engineering support.
• Prepare and review work packages.
• Follow up on installations, red mark-up documentation, and final documentation.
• Conduct offshore surveys, installation follow-ups, or participate in yard stays as required.
• Coordinate and cooperate with rig crew and installation teams.
• Contribute to projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of assigned tasks.
• Report costs, progress, and deviations to technical leads/package engineers or project managers.

 

Qualification Requirements

• Technical Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
• Additional certifications in electrical, instrumentation, or automation fields are advantageous.
• Familiarity with petroleum industry standards (e.g., PTIL, NORSOK, ATEX, OLF, DNV, IEC).
• Experience with modifications on fixed drilling units in the NCS.
• Knowledge of power distribution, third-party documentation, drilling equipment, winterization, and heat tracing.
• Experience with EX, Exi, and ATEX equipment.
• Offshore training and health certificate.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Febdok, SAP, Stidloop, Procosys, and MS Office.
