Senior Drilling & Well Professional – Lead Safety & Excellence on Our Drilling Rig

Job Description

• Manage, plan, and coordinate drilling and completion operations according to approved programs and procedures (including company guidelines, best practices, and local regulations such as Norsok & OLF).
• Ensure that operations are carried out safely, maintaining the health, safety, and integrity of personnel.
• Ensure adherence to good oilfield practices and relevant company standards, as well as HSEQ procedures.
• Initiate the MOV/Deviation process when required.
• Report all accidents or potential hazards.
• Supervise rig and service personnel during day and night shifts.
• Provide sufficient supervision during all critical operations.
• Chair daily meetings with senior rig and service company personnel.
• Develop and issue detailed drilling instructions to senior personnel.
• Conduct daily morning report calls to the Drilling Superintendent.
• Report regularly on operation progress and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare daily drilling reports, feedback reports, and archive necessary data.
• Update the time planner daily and prepare a 7-day look ahead plan.
• Issue incident/accident reports and report deviations.
• Approve contractors’ work documentation on a daily basis.
• Request materials, equipment, and services in a timely manner.
• Monitor materials and stock availability on-site, and request necessary personnel or services to avoid operational delays.
• Initiate Lesson Learned processes for continual improvement.
• Ensure the professional use and development of Well Site Drilling Engineers.
• Verify and approve Field Ticket Services and Job Reports based on competence.

 

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Cand. Mag (180-240 ECTS) in Engineering.
• 6-9 years of relevant experience in drilling and well operations.
