Project Manager, Handling / Deck Machinery - Aftermarket Projects

Our team at Kongsberg Maritime is looking for a Project Manager for Aftermarket Projects within the Handling division. In this role you will lead delivery projects that span a diverse range of vessel types, from passenger and cruise ships to research, fishing, and offshore vessels. We're seeking a highly motivated professional with a passion for project management, someone who can deliver outstanding results and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for a variety of activities, including managing delivery, collaborating with our engineering teams and the end customers. Additionally, you'll contribute with your project management perspective in the sales stage for upgrade projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing upgrade projects
• Supervise and guide a team of talented service professionals deployed on global upgrade projects.
• Develop a robust reporting structure for projects to maintain profitability, effectively manage risks, and prioritize customer satisfaction.
• Provide audit support when necessary, ensuring project compliance and quality assurance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, handling formal contractual communications and fostering positive on-site interactions.
• Coordinate and collaborate with teams across the Global Customer Support organization, promoting synergy and delivering exceptional project outcomes.

Qualifications and experience

• Experience in project management within the maritime industry.
• Experience with Deck Machinery equipment on Offshore or Merchant vessels is desirable, but not a requirement.
• Experience with customer management and interfaces within the shipbuilding environment is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal.
