About the position:
The Warehouse Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient handling, checking, and delivery of materials. The position focuses on receiving and inspecting incoming materials, picking items based on job cards, and delivering them to the installation (Construction) teams. Additional responsibilities include general warehouse maintenance, forklift operations, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Material Handling and Delivery:
- Receive and check incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Pick materials according to job cards and prepare them for delivery.
- Deliver materials to construction teams as required, ensuring timeliness and
- accuracy.
Warehouse Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance of warehouse locations and ensure proper organization
- of materials.
- Conduct general housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Monitor and report any equipment or storage issues.
Forklift and Equipment Operation:
- Operate forklifts (T1, T2, T4 certification required) for material handling and
- transport.
- Packing / Strapping of containers (NOG 116 & G11 is an advantage).
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to HSE standards and company policies in all warehouse activities.
- Identify and report risks or unsafe conditions in the warehouse environment.
Inventory and Systems:
- Assist in updating inventory systems (e.g., WMMS) to maintain accurate material
- tracking.
- Participate in regular stock counts and report any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in warehousing/logistics is an
- advantage.
- Certifications in forklift operation (T1, T2, T4) are required.
- NOG 116 & G11 beneficial but not mandatory.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is preferred.
Key Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Practical problem-solving skills for basic warehouse challenges.
