The Service Execution Manager – MHS will primarily oversee our daily service execution activities. The ultimate responsibility of this role is to increase our operational efficiency in service & operations on After Sales Department by implementing a successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures. Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting and looks for opportunities to expand systems. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company's policies and applicable laws.
Will also provide support for Service Engineers during their missions ensuring quick and efficient responses to inbound technical support issues.
Our ideal candidate should have a university degree, with at least 5 years’ experience within operations & services and managerial roles. Having a high level of analytic skills and additional experience with Supply Chain Management, Finance, sales, and project management is an advantage, and so is Technical Knowledge on Marine Equipment. Fluent speaking in English is required.
Your responsibilities
- Manage the Service Engineers and Service Coordinators’ activities both on-site and off-site. Plan and schedule service work / holidays / rest days / medicals / training for the Service Engineers and manage with the service coordinators the logistics involved in mobilization and demobilization of Service Engineers in cooperation with general administration.
- Review and process incoming service purchase orders and documentation and acknowledge/ confirm acceptance of service orders to the client with planned attendance programming. Coordinate with Service and Spares Sales activities and participate in S&OP Weekly Meetings. Ensure costings are accurately entered into ERP system and work with accounts team to ensure customer invoice issues are resolved and ultimately paid in good time. Keep the Head of After Sales fully informed of the status of activities involving the service team.
- Ensure that the Service Engineers are fully briefed and provided with clear work schedules, supporting materials and instructions and that all parts, equipment etc. required for service job scope are on board prior to commencing service work. Coordinate support to the Service Engineers in the field with technical assistance from the support team. Liaise with technical support as and when required. Manage debriefing of Service Engineers and collation of service reports, work sheets & expenses so that invoices can be promptly submitted to client.
- Establish internal routines and procedures to handle internal (regions) support services. Mapping of key Palfinger Marine service locations, base knowledge level & available equipment/tools. Identify local capabilities, training needs, support needs etc. Support Corporate Services and the Training Center on content creation to Train and coach Service Execution Personnel to make sure we achieve best in class service attendance across the globe.
- Maintain strong communications with existing customers to ensure continued relationship and securing of future work. Ensure compliance within the service team of the company HSE policy and Quality Assurance procedures and act as the Local Technical Leader providing input, giving recommendations, and monitoring the quality of Service Performed.
Your qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a within operations & services and managerial roles on Marine Equipment Manufacturer
- Technical Degree in related field of study in Engineering, Maintenance, Marine or any related studies. Extensive work experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively and professionally.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
