Security Infrastructure Engineer

What does the job involve?

Equinor has a global presence with offices in over 30 countries, 40.000 user accounts, and a complex threat picture that is challenging to work with and defend against. The Cyber Defense Center (CDC) in Equinor is responsible for detecting and responding to cyber threats  as well as delivering Cyber Threat Intelligence and Cyber Awareness services to end users and leadership. 

The majority of our team is located in Stavanger, but we also have members working out of Oslo and Bergen.

What will my tasks be?

Within this position, your key tasks will be to:

• Design and implement secure, scalable and resilient log collection infrastructure.
• Work with infrastructure components such as RSyslog, Azure EventHub and load balancing.
• Ensure operational stability of our tools & processes.
• System administration of Linux servers.
• Build Infrastructure as code using Github Actions.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields (working experience may compensate for formal education).
• Solid experience in IT Infrastructure or Data Engineering.
• Ability to script and develop automations, preferably using Python or Bash, and Ansible.
• Relevant experience within Software Development is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate in English in a clear and concise way, both orally and written.
• Structured, curious and knowledge-seeking mindset.
• "Can do" attitude with a proactive approach.
