As the Sustainability Manager at Odfjell Drilling, you will play a key role in supporting the Vice President of Sustainability in the development and implementation of the company's Environment, Social Responsibility, and Governance (ESG) strategy and sustainability reporting. You will collaborate with various departments to establish action plans, procedures, KPIs, and reporting routines to meet our sustainability goals. Additionally, you will assess ESG-related risks and opportunities, strengthen the organisation's competence on new directives and industry best practices, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and sustainability rating agencies.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Higher education (MSc or equivalent)
- Experience in developing and implementing Sustainability strategies in the oil and gas or related industries
- Leadership skills and documented management experience
- Proven knowledge of the CSRD directive with experience with ESRS reporting
- Comprehensive understanding of ESG risks and opportunities in the maritime and energy sector
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent cooperation and communication skills
- Fluent English, both verbal and written
DUTIES/TASKS
- Work closely with the Vice President of Sustainability and cross-functional teams to develop Odfjell Drilling's Sustainability strategy and practices
- Collaborate with the functions to establish long-term and short-term action plans and KPIs
- Conduct ESG risk assessments
- Educate and build competence in the organisation on new ESG related directives and regulations
- Prepare the annual Sustainability Statement
- Prepare regular and accurate ESG reporting to the management, board of directors, and shareholders
- Monitor performance and report to sustainability rating agencies
- Provide input and expertise in tender and contract processes related to ESG considerations
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performance responsibilities for position
- Responsible for the data necessary to meet sustainability reporting requirements
- Secure quality in deliverables of accounting and ESG reporting processes, including compliance to corporate guidelines and general accounting rules applicable to ESG reporting
- Contribute to improving necessary tools and methods to ensure quality, consistency and efficiency in reporting processes
