Control Systems Engineer

If you are an analytically strong, creative, and innovative individual with a proven track record in your field, you might be the perfect fit for our Electro, Instrument, Control, or Telecom systems team (EICT).
At Altera, we specialize in delivering large, technically complex major projects in the offshore energy industry. Once projects are completed, we operate the units with our own offshore personnel. The development and execution of such large-scale projects demand advanced engineering and world-class project management. Providing operational support to our global portfolio of FPSOs requires an experienced, proactive, and competent team of engineers.

Some of the things you will be doing
- The EICT team works as an integrated unit, both within the profession and the broader technical team. Experience in control systems is essential for this position. However, you will also have the opportunity and be encouraged to engage broadly within the profession.
- Your focus shall always be on the health and safety of personnel, environment and equipment.
- Participate in studies, FEED/tenders and international execution projects.
- Provide technical support across assets for operation and modifications. Update documentation for operation within the defined area of responsibility.
- Participate in discipline checks on modifications and new revisions of relevant drawings and operation manuals.
- Enable and improve processes by using digital technologies and digitalized data to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure that all your accountabilities are carried out in conformance with rules and regulations, contractual requirements, and Altera Governing documentation.
- Contribute to sharing your experiences and expertise with your colleagues and the company.
Some of the things we are looking for
- Technical education on master or bachelor level
- English language - fluent written and oral skills
- Detailed technical and operational knowledge within the relevant discipline
- Flexibility on travel and flexibility to join internationally based project teams for shorter or longer stays.
- Passionate about applying new technology to ensure efficient new projects and future operations.
- Liaison with Classification and Regulatory bodies as required.
