Field Engineer – EIT with experience in onshore or offshore projects.

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?

• Assist production with solving technical problems during building or installation work at construction sites
• Interpret drawings and job basis for production
• Prepare work basis and documentation for technical solutions in cooperation with shop engineering
• Ensure location and installation are construction and HSSE friendly
• Maintain close communication with work leaders (FIL), method, shop engineering, PRE, and others
• Strive for excellent HSSE performance throughout the work
• Interface with IT/IS related to engineering register, Navis, and MIPS
• Coordinate closely with production
• Interface with all disciplines (EIT, piping, structure, civil, HVAC, etc.), suppliers, subcontractors, production, and planning departments

Qualifications we think you should have:

• Good knowledge of basic computing
• Experience with “as-built” drawings and mechanical interface drawings
• Field experience
• Proficiency in MS Office 365, and E3D
• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of E&I experience (lack of education can be compensated with relevant work experience)
• Experience in the oil and gas industry
