Are you ready to make your mark with Menzies?
Greeting customers from all over the world, you’ll assist and guide them through every step of their journey through the airport. From check-in and bag drop, to boarding gates and arrivals, you’ll ensure customers are kept well-informed and are in the right place at the right time. With a keen eye for detail, you’ll be responsible for checking travel documents and being able to remain calm under pressure to provide exceptional customer service.
Position: 75% engagement until October - with possibility of permanent placement!
Start: March - April.
Working hours: A mix of early, mid, and late shifts, including holidays and weekends.
Candidates must be available for four weks of training within the specified period.
We need employees who can start working on a shift schedule immediately after completing training.
The main tasks for a Passenger Service Agent include:
- Verify tickets, IDs, and travel documents to meet airline and destination rules.
- Assist passengers with oversized, special, and lost baggage.
- Provide information and support to all passengers, including those needing special assistance.
- Help manage delays, cancellations, and rerouting with clear communication.
- Coordinate between check-in and boarding for on-time departures.
- Guide boarding, complete passenger counts, and ensure smooth departures.
- Support baggage handling, wheelchair assistance, and maintain check-in area organization.
- Always represent the company professionally.
- You have strong communication and customer service skills in English and a Scandinavian language (both written and spoken).
- You are comfortable using computer systems (airline-specific training provided).
- You have experience in customer-facing roles, ideally in aviation, retail, hospitality, or tourism.
- You are a team player with the ability to collaborate across departments for smooth airport operations.
- You handle challenging situations with professionalism and efficiency.
- You are physically able to stand for long periods, handle luggage, and assist passengers with reduced mobility.
- You hold a Category B Driver’s License and car allowing you to commute to work without relying on public transportation .
- You are willing to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- EAA Background Check Requirements:
- You have had residency within the EU/EAA for the past five years.
- You have the ability to provide documentation for the past five years (education, employment, etc.).
- You will be able to provide a translated Police Certificate from all countries of residence in the past five years.
