Senior Manager IFRS and Financial Reporting to Wallenius Wilhelmsen

Are you our new subject-matter expert in IFRS and financial reporting?

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking an experienced Senior Manager IFRS and Financial Reporting to join our Global Accounting and Financial Control team. Reporting to the SVP Global Accounting and Financial Control, you will be responsible for development and consistent application of IFRS policies across the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Group, as well as being involved in preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. The role is based at our HQ at Lysaker.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
Responsibility for development and application of accounting policies (IFRS) globally, including:

• Ownership of IFRS accounting policies, including maintaining and updating policies, and providing training to A&FC teams globally as required
• Implementation of new IFRS/financial reporting requirements
• Performing accounting assessments and preparing accounting memos for relevant areas as required
• Participate in transactions and M&A related activities with an IFRS/financial reporting perspective

• Higher education, master’s degree in accounting or similar qualified accountant (ACA, CPA or state authorized public accountant)
• Minimum 5 years of experience from big 4 audit firm, and minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in total, including experience with financial reporting in global, listed companies
• Specialist in IFRS and corporate reporting with a strong interest in the development of IFRS and corporate reporting
• Demonstrated ability to stay updated and informed of new developments and requirements
• Fluent in written and oral English
