Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a new team member to be an important part of our Research and Development Team located in Trondheim.

The R&D department delivers a large number of tailor-made products to our customers spread around the globe every year and innovates new technology-driven and market-driven concepts, products, and solutions.

We are considering multiple profiles for our team, and we encourage both experienced candidates and recent graduates to apply.

Main Activities & Responsibilities in this role

• Lead and conduct product development projects from design to delivery

• Contribute to concept and design development in R&D projects

• Perform mechanical design, structural analysis and calculations 

• Plan and participate in the design validation testing of concepts, prototypes and complete solutions

• Perform research projects and detailed studies

• Prepare technical documentation for manufacturing of parts and product support

• Communication, support and collaboration with suppliers, operations and sales departments 

The colleague we are looking for

• Holds BSc or MSc degree in a relevant technical discipline

• Likes to work CREATIVE to solve challenges

• Has DRIVE to make good things happen

• Has or is interested in obtaining knowledge of product development processes and methodology
