Join our team in Drilling & Wells - Harbour Energy Norway

Harbour Energy will now mature several operated discoveries in Norway from early phase planning towards execution. To ensure timely maturation of theses additional project wells in parallel to the ongoing projects, the Drilling & Wells department will need to expand their team with additional senior Drilling & Completion Engineers.

Duties and responsibilities

• Independently design wells to meet the well objectives and in compliance with governing regulations and Harbour Energy's processes and procedures
• Prepare D&W activity plans according to the well construction process
• Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into the designs
• Optimize all well activities and well design for optimum operational performance
• Plan and perform QA & QC of supplier's services, studies and equipment deliveries, including audits and investigations onitor, evaluate and make recommendations to improve operational performance and capture learnings
• Provide technical input to and evaluation of tenders and contracts as required.
• Active mentor for junior professionals and contributor to external and internal professional networks

Education

• Bachelor' degree in petroleum engineering or similar relevant education required. MSc is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in well engineering and drilling operations.

Experience

For the Drilling Engineer post

• Relevant experience and technical understanding of planning and execution of offshore drilling and P&A operations

For the Senior Completion Engineer post

• Relevant experience and technical understanding of planning and execution of offshore well completion, testing and intervention operations

For both

• Experience from subsea development wells, including early phase work. MLT experience desired.
• Good knowledge of regulations and relevant standards.
• Extensive experience with well planning and well planning software.
• Sound technical understanding of development and exploration drilling, HSE and field operation and commercial aspects
• Relevant offshore experience is desired
• Experience with contract management and tender evaluation

Language Skills

• Fluent in English (oral & written) with Norwegian preferred as an additional second language
