About Internal Control and Fraud Prevention
The Internal Control and Fraud Prevention team (FRC) is looking for a Senior Advisor Fraud Risk to join our team. You will play a central role in implementing the Fraud Risk Management (FRM) Program and will work closely with various stakeholders across the organization.
In 2024 Statkraft has initiated an updated approach to fraud prevention with the introduction of a revised FRM program to ensure a more holistic, data-driven and systematic approach to prevent, detect and mitigate fraud across the organisation.
The program is structured around four key pillars: governance, risk assessment, mitigation and controls, and monitoring and reporting. These pillars form the backbone of an effective fraud risk management strategy, enabling Statkraft to better understand, detect, and respond to potential fraud threats.

Job DescriptionThe Internal Control and Fraud Prevention unit has five employees and is part of the Financial Reporting, Accounting and GBS Finance department in Statkraft. The unit’s main responsibilities are Statkraft’s internal control over financial reporting (ICFR), internal control over sustainability reporting (ICSR) and the Fraud Risk Management Program (FRM).
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop Statkraft’s Fraud Risk Management (FRM) program
- Working alongside with process owners, compliance unit and other relevant stakeholders to create new ways to identify and prevent fraud
- Facilitate fraud risk assessment processes
- Support process owners in the continuous development, review and implementation of mitigation strategies (e.g. controls, process improvements etc)
- Maintain, perform and communicate on the FRM training program, ensuring sufficient awareness and competence within the organisation
- Contribute with further development of data driven fraud prevention, i.e. quantitative analytics
- Monitor and report on effectiveness, plans and status for the Fraud Risk Management program to relevant stakeholders
We are looking for a Senior Advisor Fraud Risk with the right mindset and skills to help our team. That includes knowledge in:
- Master’s degree
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- In-dept knowledge of fraud prevention, from fields such as compliance, forensics, risk analysis or audit
- Either formal skills or proven experience within project management
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Analytical skills and experience from working with analytics or modelling
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage
- Experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems is an advantage
- CFE-certification or other similar certifications is an advantage
