Drilling Facilities Engineer
What does the job involve?
The Drilling Facilities Engineers are organized in PDP D&W DWCC Facilities F1. We are responsible for the technical condition and integrity of Equinor’s drilling facilities and have people located in Stavanger, Bergen, Stjørdal, Aberdeen and Rio.
What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
- Daily follow-up of drilling equipment and the drilling facility's integrity to ensure reliable and efficient operations in compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Follow-up of the drilling contractor's deliveries and ensure Equinor's see-to responsibility.
- Responsibility for the system's technical integrity and lifetime plan.
- Responsibility for budgets for maintenance and projects.
- Travel offshore as needed.
- Follow up on modifications in the drilling areas.
- Approve studies and technical solutions.
- Contribute to the implementation of new technology.
By joining our team you will have the opportunity to be an integral part of our multidiscipline “One Team” (operator, drilling contractor and main service provider). We are app. 25 people in our department, and we follow up Equinor’s drillings facilities on around 25 installations. We have a broad range of backgrounds and experience and support each other across installations as needed.

- Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in engineering. Relevant experience might compensate for lack of formal education.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable authority and classification requirements for drilling facilities and equipment.
- Dedicated approach to safety and knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
- Experience from drilling and well intervention work and/or operations.
- Fluent English and Norwegian skills, both written and verbal.
