Project Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced research project manager in a 100 % permanent position, to join the Department of Tumor Biology.
The position includes coordination of an EU project on early detection of heritable cancer to be implemented in regional or national healthcare systems.
The project involves 28 international partners from top European institutions and healthcare providers. The tasks would include consortium and technical management, monitoring, reporting, as well as grant application activities with a focus on the European Cancer Mission frameworks. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary and international teams working on cutting edge technologies in the healthcare domain.

Your Role:
- Lead day-to-day project management activities, including participating in organization of meetings, creating and monitoring project execution, problem-solving, monitoring of work progress, drafting deliverables and reports, and preparing and delivering presentations.
- Contribute to grant applications, including consortium building, concept formulation, proposal drafting.
- Collaborate with partners from diverse backgrounds, such as medicine, clinical research, molecular biology, ICT, artificial intelligence, industry and innovation, patient associations, law and ethics.
- Arrange and represent the team at project meetings and various events.
- Building networks and relationships with relevant stakeholders within academia, government, and industry nationally and internationally.
- Further developing established strategic initiatives.
- Some travel is to be expected in this position.
- The person will be part of the Department of Tumor Biology and is expected to participate in joint tasks and every-day life in the department.
Required qualifications:
- A doctoral degree or a Master's degree in a scientific field relevant to the job responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Project management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (the communication language within the consortium).
- Good knowledge and command of project management tools (spreadsheets, planning tools, collaborative tools).
- Experience of interdisciplinary approaches (involves the combination of different academic disciplines into one activity).
- Familiarity with Project management.
- Excellent skills of writing and synthesis (work plans, technical reports and other acts and management).
What Makes You Stand Out?
- Postgraduate studies in life science, Public Health, Healthcare Management, Biomedical Sciences, or related disciplines.
- Experience in EU-funded project management.
- Experience with the Horizon Europe Cluster Health and Cancer Mission frameworks.
- Working knowledge of administrative and financial management of European or international projects.
- Competence and experience with innovation and industry engagement.
