The XTR RD-M9000 Rear Derailleur by Shimano - Refined technology

The XTR RD-M9000 rear derailleur has been equipped by Shimano with a shifting mechanism that refines and complements the proven Shadow Plus technology. It is now possible to choose between maximum chain stability and lowest possible operating forces. In addition, compared to previous models, the profile has been flattened again and the angle of attack optimised to prevent damage on the trail. Together with the other components that make up the Dyna-Sys11 system, the RD-M9000 performs reliably and smoothly. The inner cage of the rear derailleur is made of aluminium, the outer one of weight-saving carbon, as is some of the hardware. In the shorter version (GS) it is compatible with 2x11-speed and 1x11-speed gears and cassettes up to 11-42 or 11-46. The long version (SGS) can also be used for 3x11-speed drivetrains with 11-40 cassettes.
