Field Engineer – Mechanical with experience in onshore or offshore projects.

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?

• Assist production with solving technical problems during building or installation work
• Interpret drawings and job basis for production
• Prepare technical clarifications with marked-up drawings
• Develop work basis and documentation for technical solutions with fabrication engineering
• Ensure quality and punctuality of deliveries based on project plans and procedures
• Maintain close communication with work leaders, method, fabrication engineering, PRE, and others
• Contribute to continual improvement efforts

Qualifications we think you should have:

• You are fluent in Norwegian and English
• You have extensive knowledge of mechanical equipment (static/rotating), installation, operation, maintenance, processing facilities, engineering, building materials, and existing requirements and restrictions
• You are skilled in using 3D tools and have good knowledge of MIPS
• You have experience with mechanical equipment, mechanical fabrication engineering, and site engineering
• You have a strong safety mindset
