Payroll Accountant

An exciting opportunity ahead as a Payroll Accountant in Kongsberg Maritime AS. In this role, you will be part of a team consisting of ten colleagues, and your main tasks will be to contribute with payroll, control of travel expenses, support to employees and managers and other tasks related to the payroll area.

The payroll department handles payroll for approximately 4,500 employees in Norway and we are mainly located in Kongsberg/Hjørungavåg. The department is part of a larger professional environment: the Financial Service Centre (FSC). This center provides services related to accounting, controlling, payroll, collection of receivables and financial systems.

Do you enjoy a varied and challenging work day? This role will involve different and exciting tasks within the payroll area, from A to Z. You will be actively involved in the ongoing improvement work to further develop our payroll and travel system, and a great contributor to our team.

What you will be doing

• Payroll for employees in Norway with preparation and follow-up

• Processing of variable supplements and deductions, updating employee data, vacation and absence follow-up

• Checking travel expenses

• Contribute to projects

• Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations for professional excellence
  

What we think you should have

• Bachelor's degree in economics, but relevant experience in the field will also be considered

• Experience from a similar position is desirable

• Experience with the SdWorx G7 is an advantage

• Good experience with Norwegian agreements, laws, and regulations regarding Norwegian labour law etc.

• Fluent written and oral communication skills in Norwegian and benefit from good English competence
