Kongsberg Discovery is expanding our activity within acoustic positioning and communication products for subsea operation, and we aim to expand our capabilities in our software team.

Our world class products are used in a wide range of subsea operations such as deep-water research, subsea installation, AUV, USV and mapping surveys including products such as HiPAP, cNODE, HAIN and other complementary sensors.  

What you will be working on

You will join a team of software engineers developing desktop and embedded applications for acoustic positioning and communication systems. Your tasks include developing front-end and back-end software for the operation station, collaborating with experienced colleagues, and participating in system design, development, and testing. Additionally, you will take part in real-life product testing onboard our research vessels in Horten.

Qualifications and experience 

• BSc / MSc computer science, cybernetics or similar
• Experience working with desktop application development using languages like C++, C#, Angular, Rust etc.
• It is beneficial with experience within software architecture, remote operation, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Fluent in both Norwegian and English
• Real-time programming, real time operating systems
