Product Engineer – Electronics

Jefferson Wells is looking for a Product Engineer – Electronics on behalf of our client in Kongsberg. In this role, you will be part of the Controls & Automation product line, contributing to the development of technology platforms for electrification of Subsea Control Systems and renewable energy solutions such as offshore wind, hydrogen, and wave energy. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment, handling product management for a variety of electronic products and system technologies, including Subsea Electronic Modules (SEM), Topside Electronic Modules (TEM), motor drives, battery modules, power supplies, and communication systems.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain product structures and documentation for manufacturing and change management.
• Provide technical support in manufacturing, supply chain, projects, and field operations.
• Manage product cost and contribute to product tendering processes.
• Monitor product quality and execute improvement projects to enhance product performance.
• Review customer specifications to evaluate functional compliance of products.

Background and Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in electronics, automation, cybernetics, or a related field.
• A structured approach to problem-solving in complex environments.
• Open-minded, adaptable, and comfortable working in a multicultural setting.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Interest in electronics is an advantage.
