CoolCo Summer Internship 2025

Are you looking for a summer internship that will provide you with a unique experience within the LNG and maritime industry? Look no further, CoolCo is seeking curious and motivated summer interns to our offices in Oslo!

The summer internship is a great opportunity to learn and gain experience within your field of interest. This summer we will offer three internship positions within the following fields: ESG, Procurement, and LNG Ship Design. You must specify which area you are applying for in your application. Please see more information about each area below.

LNG Ship Design:

What you will be doing:

• Outline sustainable LNG ship designs, considering existing and upcoming environmental regulations, as well as new technologies. Design considerations may include propulsion alternatives, fuel performance/increased efficiency, improved safety features, greater automation, modular designs, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

• Currently in the 4th year of naval architecture/marine engineering studies.

• You must be available to start in week 24 and commit for 6 weeks.

ESG:

What you will be doing:

• Contribute in the ESG reporting for rating agencies such as S&P Global and the UN Global Compact.

• Analyse the company’s ESG status and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Currently in the 3rd or 4th year of a related study, e.g. specialization in sustainability.

• You must be available to start in week 24 and commit for 4 weeks.

Procurement:

What you will be doing:

• Execute cost-effective and risk-minimized purchasing processes to ensure timely delivery to our fleet.

• Collaborate with relevant parties for comprehensive A-Z procurement process management.

• Monitor costs conscientiously, actively seek opportunities for savings, and contribute to improvement initiatives within the Procurement department.

Qualifications:

• Currently studying shipping, logistics, procurement, or a related field.

• You must be available to start in week 24 and commit for 9 weeks.

• Excellent communication skills in English (Norwegian is beneficial but not required).
