THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Controller with us, you will enjoy a varied workday, engaging in diverse tasks and projects within our Finance team. You will support and report to management with both recurring and ad hoc analyses, contributing to the development of our team and processes. You will interact with colleagues across departments, primarily in Lysaker, Riga, and Geneva. Your place of work will be at our office in Lysaker, and you will report to the CFO of MSC Norway.

YOUR KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Handle various cost control and accounting tasks
• Ensure accurate analysis of revenue and costs
• Continuously seek to develop and optimize company processes and procedures
• Participate in monthly and annual financial reconciliations/reporting
• Work on tasks related to monthly and annual accounts
• Act as a liaison between Finance and other departments
• Working closely with colleagues within our Shared Service centers worldwide and our HQ in Geneva.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

In addition to an education in accounting and a solid understanding of the field, you have practical experience. However, we also believe that the right attitude can be just as valuable as years of education and experience.

You are recognized for having a good overview and staying ahead in your analysis, quickly identifying problems and linking numbers with business understanding. Proficiency in Excel is a plus. You work independently, are analytical and structured. Familiarity with various IT systems and experience with SAP is an advantage. You communicate effectively in Norwegian and English, both orally and in writing. Experience in the shipping industry is a plus but not required. You can manage work tasks and handle complex projects efficiently. With your solution-oriented approach and good communication skills, you will make a positive impact as our new controller.
