Junior purchaser

Manpowers customer in Vigra has a requirement for a Junior Purchaser to work as part of the Supply Chain team at their base in a long time vacancy. This is a 100% position providing SCM support to projects, operational bases and administrative activities. 

The tasks you will solve

• Issue Request for Quote (RFQ) based on project requirements
• Negotiate and place commitments with suppliers ensuring that the most favourable terms of supply are obtained
• Expedite purchase orders ensuring that delivery dates are met, and any supply issues are resolved
• Ensuring that goods or services are delivered to the right place at the right time
• Participate in meetings as required by projects/department
• Develop relationships with key suppliers and internal customers
• Sourcing alternative products and reviewing existing ones to ensure prices remain competitive with no compromise of quality
• Liaise with other departments within the organisation
• Knowledge of procurement functions forms of contract and procedures

 What we want from you

• Commercial or technical education
• Working knowledge and experience within SAP ECC/ SAP S4
• A commercial mindset
• Candidates should be able to solve problems using their own initiative
• Enjoy a dynamic working environment with short deadlines and ability to multi task
• English and Norwegian language skills
• Contribute to a positive working environment

Duration: 01.04.2025 - 31.03.2026 (12 months) with possibility for extension.
