ESG Reporting Accountant
What does the job involve?
ESG reporting accountant, within the Equinor's Group Reporting team, responsible for IFRS and ESG related contributions to capital markets reporting, including consolidated financial information, ensuring high standards of quality. This role will involve collaboration with the ESG advisor and other functions to ensure the accuracy of sustainability information in the integrated annual report, including compliance with CSRD requirements. Committed to driving improvements and establishing new processes in line with evolving regulations and stay updated on regulatory changes.
What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
Work in the interface between ESG and financial reporting and contribute to the development of the financial information included in the integrated annual report including that in accordance with the CSRD requirements. You will work closely with the ESG advisor in the finance and control function, lead parts of sustainability relevant capital market reporting and collaborate with other functions e.g. SSU to ensure quality and completeness of required sustainability information in the annual capital marked reporting. The position covers the following:
Integral role in the integrated annual reporting.
Tasks related to the interface between CRSD and IFRS reporting.
Climate change and energy transition analysis, including disclosure in the Group financial statement.
Contribute to the EU taxonomy reporting.
Internal controls related to CSRD reporting.
Support evaluating and interpreting evolving regulatory frameworks and guidelines.
Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations and implementing necessary updates.
Resolve complex accounting and reporting issues and provide guidance to other team members.
Drive improvement of global accounting and reporting processes, including digital solutions.
