We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Industrial Designer to drive innovation and excellence in Swix’s pole and hard goods category. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, develop, and refine high-quality products—from initial ideation to market launch—ensuring they meet and exceed customer expectations while strengthening Swix’s competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities
Product Design & Development
Design innovative products and enhancements that align with brand strategy and market needs.Prototyping & Testing
Create mock-ups and prototypes, conducting user testing with our Racing Service team.Manufacturing & Sourcing
Partner with suppliers to source materials, components, and production processes that meet quality and cost requirements.Feasibility & Cost Analysis
Assess the viability and profitability of new products through technical and financial analysis.Project Management
Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring critical milestones are met throughout development.User Experience & Market Research
Conduct user testing and analyze feedback to optimize product design, functionality and customer experience.Documentation & Communication
Provide technical specifications for user manuals, marketing materials, and internal documentation. Ensure products meet relevant quality standards and regulations.Post-Launch Optimization
Monitor product performance, gather market insights, and implement improvements based on customer feedback.Industry Awareness
Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies to enhance our product offerings.
Who are we looking for?
Must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design or a related field.
3+ years of experience in product development or a similar role.
Strong understanding of product development processes, from ideation to commercialization.
Good knowledge in manufacturing processes, materials, and cost optimization techniques.
Business and market awareness, with the ability to translate customer needs into product solutions.
Knowledge of quality assurance, product testing, and optimization.
Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design.
Skilled in Illustrator, Photoshop, and other 2D design tools.
English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Nice to have:
Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design or a related field.
Familiarity with intellectual property rights and patent processes.
Norwegian communication skills, both written and spoken.
A genuine passion for skiing, winter sports, or outdoor adventures is a big plus!
