Service Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Service Director to join our team at our headquarters in Bergen, Norway.
The position as Service Director is responsible for developing and managing Corvus' Service organization for Europe and support the Global Service development of Corvus. The goal of the Service function is to ensure delivery of excellent service activities combined with a high growth in recurring service revenues.
The Service Director is responsible for the service team in working with customers to resolve issues & maintain ESS uptime and to coordinate and oversee deployment of parts and service engineers in the field through the product life cycle.
Throughout the product life cycle, the Services Director will also provide critical input to the rest of the organization on field issues to improve product reliability and sustainability.
Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for executing service operations in Europe
- Responsible for implementing an operational and effective service strategy across all regions, that ensures customer satisfaction with Corvus products and services.
- Responsible for growth in new recurring service agreements, delivering on annually agreed revenue budget.
- Responsible for developing deep insight into legal aspects of warranty clauses and service agreements ensuring Corvus to act according to valid agreements.
- Responsible for training, inventory, and spare parts management
- Responsible for evaluation, selection, training and quality approval of third party service contractors globally needed for peak/high load periods
- Oversee resource utilization and time tracking for customer projects and internal tasks, ensuring compliance with local travel and duty regulations
- Manage service contracts and implement improvements and cost optimization
- Opex and Capex budget and cost follow-up
- Establish and develop customer relationships with both ship owners and system integrators
- Coordinate the scheduling of Service Technicians to provide support to customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues remotely and at customer installations.
- Create and update customer issue tickets to provide up-to-date status on assigned cases.
- Create RMAs and Sales Orders for the return and shipment of parts to and from customers.
- Participate in creating and improving processes that allow Corvus to more efficiently deliver products and services to our customers
- Select and follow up contracted resources dedicated for specified tasks and assignments
- Manage and follow up firm plan for Lighthouse connectivity across portfolio
- Occasional travel to customer sites to manage customers and perform reviews, service actions or commissioning.
- Create and maintain internal and customer-facing documentation to disseminate product information related to installation, operation, and diagnostics.
- Be responsible for Training Programs and Curriculum for the Service Engineers
- Develop and maintain Service department tools and Procedures
- Be responsible for the Global spare part logistics system

Desired qualifications, education, and skills:
- Relevant technical education at University level in Mechanical, Electrical or IT Engineering
- Have practical experience concerning problem solving in Electrical and Mechanical and Software Systems.
- Experience with installation and testing in industrial environments, preferably maritime installations.
- Experience from the maritime sector is an advantage
- Organized and good multitasking capabilities
- Experience working with customers.
- Good communication and crisis management skills.
- Ablility to travel internationally.
