We are a team of experts in branding, marketing and communication who are looking for you who love to organize events. We believe you have extensive experience and weight within this discipline, but we would also like to hear from you who are fresher in the subject, if you learn quickly and have an eye for detail. As it is a fast pace, we have set at least one year's experience as the minimum requirement.
This is a full-time position where the tasks will be varied, so you must be open to participating where needed, also in addition to managing events in periods. The workplace is our award-winning office environment at Stortorvet 7 in Oslo. If you enjoy being surrounded by many ambitious people, you've come to the right place.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Management: Oversee the entire event process from strategy to execution, including planning, budgeting, and follow-up. Independently manage and implement customer seminars.
- Coordination and Collaboration: Work closely with ISS's local service team, the marketing department, and external actors (e.g., catering, event premises, speakers) to ensure smooth collaboration and successful deliverables.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing advice to subject experts and partners in event planning processes.
- Team Leadership: Lead project managers, technical staff, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and permit requirements.
- Digital Integration: Collaborate with the digital team to set up registration pages and invitations, monitor participant registration, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Event Day Participation: Welcome participants, ensure quality at all stages, and manage the distribution of materials.
- Documentation and Optimization: Register events in planning tools, update the event calendar, support booking of meeting rooms and internal studios, and continually optimize processes, sharing best practices with ISS Event Managers across the Nordic countries.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least one year of work experience in Event & Project Management
- Very good Norwegian and English in speech and writing
- Good knowledge of digital tools/systems such as MS Office, and easy to learn new technical and digital solutions
- Experience in leading teams or projects in an effective and coaching manner
- Project management: Used to managing multiple projects at once, working against deadlines, and staying within budget.

- Good presentation and communication skills – clear and confident communicator.

- Innovative thinking, with an aptitude for questioning traditional assumptions and proposing fresh, forward-thinking approaches.

To be successful in the job, you must be structured, service-minded and detail-oriented. You must enjoy handling multiple tasks at the same time and solve challenges with a positive attitude. We conduct physical, hybrid and digital seminars; for the latter, we have our own manufacturers with whom you will work together on the technical side.
Good communication skills are a plus, and you must master the fact that we speak both English and Norwegian - but you do not need to be fluent in the languages yourself. An interest in technology will give you an advantage in the performance of the work tasks. We all make mistakes sometimes, and we learn and test new methods. The joy is all the greater when both hosts and guests have a great time together at the event under your management.
