Barbara Rodriguez, our talented Pastry Chef for several years, is now seeking new challenges, and we are looking for her successor.
We are searching for a motivated, creative, and skilled pastry chef who is passionate about delivering high-quality experiences to our guests. You will be part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team that takes pride in excellence.
As Pastry Chef at Grand Hotel Oslo, you will have the opportunity to shape and develop the hotel's patisserie alongside your colleagues, contributing to its continued success and innovation.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a certificate as a pastry chef and works in the profession as of today
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar positions in restaurants or hotel kitchens
- Works well in a team and is enthusiastic, thorough and quality-conscious
- Inspires and motivates others
- Staying up to date on new trends and being curious
- Works independently and is concerned with good hygiene
- Fluent in English, a Scandinavian language is an advantage but not a requirement
Main duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for creating and developing menus.
- Production of all pastry related items for all the hotel's F&B outlets
- Follow procedures according to IK mat, cleaning and safety
- Contribute to the department reaching expectations for guest satisfaction, quality and profitability
- Follow routines for organic and eco-labelled products and source sorting, as well as contribute to reducing food waste
- Contribute to a good working environment and collaboration with colleagues in the kitchen and in other departments
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
