Associate/Analyst

Asset Servicing is part of the Fund Administration area and consists of three core functions – the corporate action support for the listed equities and fixed income investments, custody reconciliation and proxy voting operation. As an Asset Servicing Analyst at NBIM, you'll perform key middle office and support functions within our global team in Singapore and New York. The ideal candidate has a keen interest in IT tools with a willingness to apply them extensively, demonstrates enthusiasm for learning about financial products, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. Position is located in Oslo and reports to Olav Sauar, Head of Asset Servicing, Fund Administration.

Duties and responsibilities

What you will do
As an Associate / Analyst in Asset Servicing you will:

• Providing day-to-day investment support to portfolio managers and traders related to all types of corporate action events
  
• Leverage our technology stack including Snowflake, Python, SQL, LLMs, and data tools to improve existing processes or innovate new solutions that enhance our team's efficiency
• Executing the voluntary corporate action instruction process in collaboration with relevant investment teams, global custodian and other vendors
  
• Investigating and resolving settlement reconciliation breaks related to corporate action entitlements
• Participating in project work and business process enhancement initiatives focusing on automation and utilization of new technology

Qualifications (heading)

What you need

• Master’s degree in computer and information technology, engineering, finance, economics or other numeric areas
  
• IT and system skills like ability to utilize databases, Python, SQL, AI tools and other software tools would be an advantage
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
