Tech Lead – Develop Next-Gen Tech for the Future of Human Space Exploration
Are you ready to push the boundaries of space technology and play a key role in shaping the future of human space exploration? At Nåva Space, we are developing next-generation space suits and astronaut equipment designed to enhance astronaut performance, mobility, and safety. We are rethinking everything from the ground up, challenging conventions and building innovative technology to enable humans to be humans beyond Earth.
Our smart spacesuit technology will integrate AI-driven health monitoring, using real-time sensor data to support astronauts in extreme environments. As the Tech Lead, you will take a hands-on approach in developing the advanced software and AI solutions that form a foundation of this innovation. You will drive long-term strategic decisions early, establish the architecture for our software, and ensure that ongoing development aligns with our vision. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and real-world space applications, you will collaborate with leading research institutions such as the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI), universities, and space agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and lead a team of software engineers and AI specialists
Develop and implement software and AI solutions
Establish and deliver projects within set frameworks
Explore up-to-date technology and industry trends
Work with leading research institutions such as the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI), universities, and space agencies.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. We want to hear from you if you don't have a formal education but still think you have what it takes.
Hands-on experience in software development, embedded systems, and AI is an absolute requirement.
Proven project portfolio demonstrating expertise in software development and AI.
Have a passion for research and development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in the space industry or other high-tech, high-performance sectors with strict regulations (e.g., healthcare or offshore industries) is a strength but not a requirement
Must be eligible for security clearance in accordance with national regulations
