As our new Finance Controller, you will play an important role in ensuring that the financial reporting processes and principles within the Group Reporting department are executed according to current standards.
Working closely with various departments, you will ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. You will drive the implementation of new principles and manage their introduction for both internal and external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timelines of financial statements and reports. Additionally, you will prepare comprehensive financial analysis and reports to support strategic decision-making.
You will be part of a collaborative, team-oriented international environment working closely with your new colleagues based in one of our offices in Copenhagen, Oslo and London. You will be based in Oslo or Copenhagen and report directly to our Head of Group Reporting.
Your key responsibilities
Perform month end close activities, analyse monthly financial results and balance sheet reconciliation and actively participate in monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting activities/reporting to management and board.
Prepare annual accounts, manage VAT reports and payments, monthly reports for our Danish entities.
Manage Danish joint venture asset related bookings and calculations including review of entries made by accounting service provider of cost from the Joint Venture Operator.
Prepare revenue accounting for all oil and gas sales and work closely with the commercial team to ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenues.
Prepare hedge accounting documentation, perform hedge accounting testing, and support the maintenance of the ledger.
Prepare, report and follow-up the G&A budget and financial forecasts, provide and present analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Support and coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring timely and accurate provision of required information.
Qualifications and experience
Relevant economic background, such as a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a related field.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification may be beneficial.
Experience from assurance services preferred.

Good knowledge of IFRS/GAAP

Due to the nature of the company and spread of our offices across Northern Europe, some travel will be required and expected.
