Production Planner

Head Energy is looking for a skilled/experienced Production Planner

Job Description:

• Serves as the primary point of contact for the day to day Production Plan sequence to the Manager Production Planning. 
• Interface with Project / Material Planning to establish Clean to Build supply of product.
• Develop contingency plans to orders that miss available capacity or components. 
• Identify and mitigate any exceptions to the plan established for internally produced materials and subcontracted materials. 
• Interact with shop floor personnel, production/manufacturing engineering teams and materials planners to define  countermeasures, inform master Production Scheduler and other material planners about any identified risks.
• Physically count the production orders under their responsibility, informing location and progress status for the orders. 
• Forecast / Evaluate / Plan additional Capacity requests where required within the Production Planning Time Fence. 
• Review the schedule of Planned Production Orders over the Production Planning Time Fence.
• Raise, monitor and support progress of Production Orders.
• Monitor, highlight and support the reduction of aged WIP
• Perform material substitutions, where required
• Timely closure of QN Tasks
• Assess ECN & QN changes, attending ECN & NRB review boards as and when required, ensuring requirements are translated to any existing Production orders. 
• React / support ECN, QN and stoppages, to related Production Orders, materials.Support planning related visual management and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Provide correct input to material master extensions or changes in ERP for internally produced materials and subcontracted orders.

• Minimum Degree Level in Business, Planning, Engineering or Technical Discipline or desired Professional Qualification – APICS, APM, PMI.
• Knowledge and appreciation of Critical Path Planning
• Practical experience of Company Business Systems and Processes,
• Competent in the application use of SAP ECC/APO, knowledge of Preactor (APS) is a plus.
• Appreciation and understanding of the Engineering Execution Process (EEP)
• Practical understanding of Engineering bill of materials (BOM’s)
• Analysis of Material Demand and creation & management of Production Orders / Service orders in SAP
• Awareness of LEAN Manufacturing and processes
• Demonstrate knowledge of Controls and Automation Subsea Products is a plus
• Minimum 2 years Capacity Planning Experience or Minimum 2 Years Scheduling
• Minimum 2 Years SAP / MRP Experience
