During the reintroduction of this series, Hagstrom paid a lot of attention to the soul of the legendary Impala and Condor models. At the same time, there are numerous improvements to be found, because guitarists today expect all contemporary aspects to be present. The neck profile is slightly rounder, the balance between the neck and the body is now optimal, so that the guitars hang naturally well on the strap - and the Vintage Tremar tremolo does everything it can to keep the tuning stable.

The improved switch plate features modern, reliable and ergonomic sliders, yet they look like the originals.

Since the sound of the Impala and Condor versions has become a permanent fixture, we have spared no expense or effort to preserve the character of the original pickups. After a lot of blood, sweat and tears, we can report that the Hagstrom AlNiCo 5 “Retro-S” pickups not only sound perfect like they did in the 60s, but also have contemporary sounds to offer. The Impala is equipped with two single coils with a lot of character; the Condor delivers all the sounds you expect with three AlNiCo 5 “Retro-S” pickups.
