HSEQ Manager

We are looking for a high-performance HSEQ Manager for our growing fleet of LNG Battery Hybrid Powered PCTC ships. You will work with engaging ship and shore staff to ensure excellence in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality aspects across all departments with frequent vessel visits.

Main roles and responsibilities for the position: 

• Contribute to building a strong safety and compliance culture in line with the company’s vision and mission; monitor that assigned vessels comply fully with all requirements related to ISM, Health, Safety, Quality, and the Environment

• Overall responsible for ISM, SMS, and ISPS systems within UECC

• Monitor the development of the company's safety management systems (SMS) with the clear objective of improving and ensuring its compliance with existing and known future requirements

• Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and overall responsibility for Corporate Security and CSO

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of the administrative and operational tasks as outlined in the company management system

• Identify and provide training within HSEQ and quality topics

• Member of the Emergency Response Team

Experience and competence requirements:

• Higher relevant education and/or Senior Marine Qualifications

• Leadership experience with weight within one or more of the subject areas (HSEQ)

• Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex issues into clear messages and measurable actions

• High degree of personal accountability

• Proactive, operational and structured in situations that require clarity, action and goal orientation

• Works well under pressure and meets deadlines

• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English

The position is based in Oslo, Norway, and the right candidate will also be required to live in the close area.
