Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will act as Global Business Line Controller in Coast Guard and Navy Business Line in addition to acting as the Local Business Line Controller for our Coast Guard and Navy unit in Norway. You will be the business partner to the Global Business Line Manager as well as to the Local Business Line Manager optimizing the financial performance within the Business Line globally and locally. You will report to the Global Division CFO.
You will be supporting effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing and interpreting financial data, evaluating various business alternatives and recommending the most appropriate business solutions to drive the Business Line growth and profitability. You will direct and control financial report’s quality and accuracy, ensuring that the practices of the business line comply with group/company policies, external rules and regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles.
The best person for this position has analytical mindset, leadership skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
This position is located in Forneby Oslo (Norway).

You will be mainly accountable for:
Responsibility of the financial management for the Global Business Line which has a full P&L responsibility including financial reporting (monthly closing, forecasting and preparing annual performance plan) while ensuring full transparency in financial reporting and disclosures with compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations and guidelines.
Supporting Global and Local BL’s business strategies implementation.
Establishing cost structures, optimizing productivity, and monitoring cash flow to improve net working capital.
Driving and following up an achievement of set performance targets for Coast Guard & Navy and lead the gap to close process.
Preparing financial reports and presentations for management, and other stakeholders.
Supporting in ensuring that a company governance model and internal controls are in place and implemented in the units.
Member of the Global Business Line Management team
Monitoring business performance and providing insights and analysis for supporting operational decision-making. Establishing and overseeing processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules.
Assessing business risk exposure and defining risk mitigation strategies for reducing impact on business performance and ensuring that risk management processes are consistently implemented.
Driving appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization and capital efficiency and developing forward looking analytics across functions for ensuring faster & transparent decision making.
Effectively communicating and interacting proactively within own network and interest groups (Group/Country/Division/Global and Local Business Line).

Qualifications for the role
Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience as Controller in similar industry.
Knowledge of International Accounting Standards, US GAAP, SAP.
High integrity and compliance mindset.
Strong analytical skills, self-driven and success driven.
Excellent conceptual and vision building skills.
Motivating and empowering leader and ability to influence people.
Must be able to be security cleared according to the Norwegian security act.
