Senior Engineer, Systems & Methods
Vard Design & Engineering is a part of VARD and leading in development of advanced and specialized vessel designs. Our solutions come together in a close partnership with clients, suppliers and our own shipyards. In a young and dynamic working environment, supported by the extensive experience base in the VARD group, we develop ship designs that are acknowledged globally.
We are now strengthening our Systems & Methods team, and we are looking for a senior engineer to join our team.

Duties and responsibilities
The Systems & Methods department is responsible for the continuous improvement of engineering methodologies, systems, standards, and material management processes. We are supporting functional design and detail design in finding ways to work more efficiently, expanding our engineering capabilities and researching the potential for digital offerings, while aligning the engineering output with the rest of the value chain to gain an efficient, digitalized end-to-end process. We are now strengthening our Systems & Methods team, and we are looking for a senior engineer to join our team.
- Continuously develop our CAD/CAE tools and methodologies through the evaluation, configuration and implementation of new and upgraded engineering systems,
- Coordinate competence development and quality assurance measures in the use of our CAD/CAE tools throughout our engineering entities,
- Coordination with system suppliers and our operational entities to align development roadmaps with business needs,
- Systems catalogue management and development
Qualifications
- BSc/MSc in relevant engineering discipline
- Experience from marine engineering and operations is beneficial
- Experience from use of AutoCAD and other CAD/CAE systems
- Additional understanding of databases, IT infrastructure and cloud environments is beneficial
- Good knowledge of English language, both oral and written
