Piping and Layout Engineer - Offshore Wind Project

Job Description

 

• Responsible for discipline follow-up of contractor’s detailed design.
• Review relevant documents and contribute discipline expertise during design reviews.
• Follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Technical Queries (TQs).
• Maintain TR2000 documentation for the project.
• Contribute to the follow-up of third-party verification.
• Follow up on contractor’s procurement packages, ensuring qualification of suppliers and meeting delivery requirements.
• Ensure discipline delivery adheres to the highest HSE standards and achieves the lowest practicable levelized cost of electricity (LCOE).
• Support safe and efficient fabrication, commissioning, and maintenance of the plant.
• Lead the Piping & Layout discipline for the project.
• Ensure the design incorporates company’s requirements, interfacing contractor’s requirements, best practices, and past experience.
• Collaborate with and leverage the expertise of technical and leading advisors.
• Ensure the contractor delivers the 3D model in alignment with project requirements and supports the creation of a digital twin.
• Potential travel may be required to follow up with contractors.

 

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor or Master of Science within mechanical or civil engineering with a minimum of 5-7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience from engineering within piping, layout, material handling, and field experience.
• Fabrication experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of DNV-ST-0145 and relevant standards, e.g., ASME B31.3, are an advantage.
• Project development experience, preferably from offshore wind.
• Good multidiscipline and interface understanding of a variety of process and utilities systems.
• Good communication skills for external and internal stakeholder management.
• Team player, eager to work in a multi-disciplinary team and dynamic project conditions.
• Working experience of AVEVA E3D and different AVEVA applications.
• Working experience of AutoCAD or similar for the production of conceptual 2D layouts.
• Strong HSE in design focus.
