Experienced production engineer sought for a growing pharmaceutical company!

Norsk Medisinsk Syklotronsenter AS (NMS) is one of the few pharmaceutical companies in Norway that manufactures its own products at Rikshospitalet in Oslo. NMS specializes in the production and development of radiopharmaceuticals for PET examinations.

We are seeking an experienced production engineer to join our production team. The role will report to the Production Manager and will involve close collaboration with other teams within the Operations department to ensure the daily production and timely delivery of radiopharmaceuticals to Norwegian hospitals.

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in radiopharmaceutical production processes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, including radiation safety procedures.
• Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and handle deviations to maintain compliance and continuous improvement.
• Handle sourcing and materials management using SAP.
• Manage order processing, including communication with hospitals and partners (e.g., GE Healthcare).
• Coordinate logistics, including transport orders and follow-up, ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
• Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, and qualification to ensure reliability and compliance.
• Participate in projects, such as establishing new production lines and introducing new products.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical production or other highly regulated industries (experience with radioactive products is a plus).
• Ability to work in time-sensitive environments, making quick and well-informed decisions.
• Preferable experience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
• Experience in small to mid-sized projects.
• Experience with SAP and FASTlab synthesis platform is beneficial.
• Proficiency in English and Norwegian (or another Scandinavian language) required.

Location & Working Hours

Our production facility is located at Rikshospitalet in Oslo, with administrative offices at the Oslo Cancer Cluster at Montebello. The role includes shared on-call responsibilities with another production engineer and the production manager during night and early morning production until product release at 08:30. Otherwise, working hours are flexible, with core activities typically between 09:00 and 15:00.
