Department Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Department Manager for System and Process in the Global Customer Support (GCS) division, reporting to Vice President of Digitalization and Operational Excellence. As a Department Manager, you become part of a team that will drive and steer towards process standardization and optimalisation. Your role will be pivotal in supporting the organization to continuously improve and achieve efficiency as we adopt through the Digital Business Transformation (DBT).

What you will be doing

• Foster a clear and compelling identity for the department, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives to ensure it contributes to the broader mission
• Establish specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for the team to ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
• Encourage continuous learning and professional growth by providing opportunities for training and attending industry conferences.
• Introduce industry best practices and standards to ensure the team is utilizing the most effective methodologies and tools for system and process analysis.
• Promote collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless integration of system and process improvements across the organization.
  
  

We think you should have

• Bachelor degree in relevant areas, experience can compensate for formal education
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and manage high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels, and to work seamlessly with other departments to drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Maritime experience is an advantage
• Fluent in English, oral and written. Fluent in Norwegian, oral, and written is an advantage.
