Program Manager

This role will focus on managing key projects, driving product improvements, and ensuring that deliverables are met within scope, budget, and timelines. Need a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading projects for KA’s business area drive control systems
• Definition and monitoring of project goals, milestones and budgets
• Review project budgets ensuring that projects are delivered within 100% of the approved budget at the start of the project, implementing recovery plans when this figure is exceeded.
• Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, developers and customers.
• Coordination of activities between different departments and international branches.
• Be responsible and report on the status of the project/program to the steering committee (STC)
• Organize and lead project meetings as required with internal and customer project teams to ensure Kongsberg meets customer requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with quality standards, internal and external processes and schedules.
• Identification and management of risks, as well as the development of solutions
• Manage successfully engineering change request to increase profitability of the project and meet technical requirements
• Ensure that project documents area created, maintained and updated through the PLM structure.
• Establish project rules and best practice routines. Organize and prioritize time between managing multiple projects. Budget tracking and monthly forecast update.

Requirements

• Graduate engineer at BSc or MSc level, with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a project manager.
• Knowledge of automotive project management methodologies
• Leadership, interpersonal skills, personal drive and confidence lead and work with cross functional teams to earn trust and team support to meet project objectives.
• Knowledge and experience of PM processes. Experience in production, quality, purchasing, marketing and/or product/process development is desirable.
• A high degree of personal integrity and confidence
• Ability to make quick decisions based on a combination of experience as well as advice from other people.
• Ability to think clearly and react effectively under pressure while remaining focused on key objectives and strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to lead and work within cross functional teams.
• Have a good command of spoken and written language within the region employed and English.
