Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our R&D team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, testing, and integration of electrical systems for our next-generation ROVs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including software, electronics and mechanical engineers, to ensure robust and efficient solutions for subsea applications. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and develop power distribution systems for ROVs, including power transmission from topside to subsea systems. Assist with design of ROV electronics. 

• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to develop robust, high-performance subsea solutions. 

• Prepare and maintain documentation of the power distribution components of the ROV systems. 

• Specification and preparation for procurement of electrical equipment, including vendor follow-up, review and approval of deliveries and documentation. 

• Contribute to ensuring compliance with industry standards, certifications, and company policies. 

• Stay up to date with new technologies in power distribution, subsea electrification, and offshore power systems. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• Technical collage, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education. 

• Experience in low and high-voltage power systems, power distribution, or subsea/offshore electrification. 

• Certificate of apprenticeship in a relevant electrical discipline is an advantage.  

• Working experience from the maritime, subsea or similar industry is an advantage. 

• Strong problem-solving skills, open-mindedness and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment. 

• Fluent in Norwegian and English both verbally and written language.
