In our quest to revolutionize new product development and utilize emerging technologies, we are seeking a visionary Senior Industrial Designer. This role is not just about creating products; it's about shaping the future of our industry. You will be at the heart of a dynamic team, where your ideas and expertise will bridge the gap between engineering, user experience, and market appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Concept Development & Innovation: Identify and develop new product initiatives, explore emerging technologies, and translate market insights into compelling concepts.

• Design & User Experience Strategy: Apply human-centered design principles, refine product aesthetics and usability, and conduct user research.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineers, product managers, and marketing teams to align design vision with technical feasibility and market expectations.

• Prototyping & Testing: Develop rapid prototypes, lead iterative design processes, and collaborate with manufacturing for production-ready designs.

• Sustainability & Disruptive Technologies: Integrate sustainable materials and processes, research disruptive technologies, and advocate for design-driven innovation.

• Brand & Design Consistency: Ensure designs adhere to Oceaneering’s brand identity and maintain design guidelines.

• Market & Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and conduct competitive analysis.

Qualifications

• Higher education within design

• 10+ years of design experience

• Multi-domain design experience from various industries

• Creative mindset

• Good abilities in understanding user needs and transferring this to product concepts

• Strong digital prototyping and visualization skills

• Enthusiasm for creating the best possible user experiences

• Insights and experience in digital product / app development

• Strong communication skills, fluent English, written and spoken

• Technical proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software

• Leadership and mentoring experience

• Sustainability knowledge and practices

• Manufacturing knowledge

• Rapid prototyping experience

The team has its base in the Offices at Forus and most of the work will be conducted from the office. We are however very flexible with remote work and home office use based on the individuals’ needs throughout the envolvement in their private lives.

In the office we have singular offices which accommodated for both concentrated work and having colleagues in for collaboration.

The role will include sporadic travels to both customers and other Oceaneering sites around the globe.
