About the Corporate Strategy & Analysis Department:
Understanding the long-term development of the entire energy complex is key to Statkraft’s strategic decisions. Situated in the Corporate Strategy & Analysis department, the unit “Global Drivers” is responsible for providing insights and expertise into the key energy market drivers, including developments in energy and climate policies, emissions, fuel and CO2 markets and prices, technological advancements, energy demand trends, and the interplay between these elements at global, regional, and local levels.

Job DescriptionAs a Senior Fuel and Energy Market Analyst, within the team of Global Drivers you will:
- Be responsible for Statkraft’s long term forecasts and scenarios for global and regional gas markets and prices, including key uncertainties.
- Manage the team’s work in quantifying the expected development of global energy production and consumption which is a basis for the many of the unit’s price and cost forecasts
- Contribute to develop and quantify scenarios for the global energy transition for both internal external use
- Be part of the team that develops Statkraft’s long term view on the whole energy system development going forward to 2050
- Contribute to ensuring consistency in our forecasts across all main energy market drivers
We are looking for a senior fuel analyst with the right mindset and skills to help our team. That includes the following competencies and personal characteristics:
- Master’s degree in engineering, economics or similar
- Knowledge of, and interest, in gas markets and the energy transition
- Analytical mind-set with excellent problem solving skills and the ability to assess how technological, economic and political drivers affect the energy transition
- Preferably 2-5 years of relevant experience. Newly graduated candidates with excellent results and the right profile may also be considered
- Self-driven, creative, motivated and positive team player
