Join our Development team as a Bioprocess Engineer to help elevate our current and future technology and services. This position offers you the opportunity to play a key role in the development of critical biomolecule production. We’re seeking someone with strong experience in cell culturing and upstream processes to complement and strengthen our team’s skills.
The team is responsible for development and optimization of mammalian cell culture production, suitable for production of biomolecules in state-of-the-art bioreactors to yield products for an international market.
What will you do?
- Design and develop processes for manufacturing of biological material using state of the art bioreactors.
- Optimize existing processes to improve growth conditions and yield.
- Conduct experiments and research to validate new production methods.
- Collaborate with other engineers and scientists to integrate new technologies and methods.
- Analyze data to monitor the performance of processes and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment used in upstream bioprocesses.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Scale up processes from laboratory scale to pilot and full-scale production.
- Train junior staff and production engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that project milestones are met.
- Collaborate with customers and partners to tailor production processes to specific needs.
The candidate we are looking for has:
- MSc within Life Science, cell biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, process engineering or other related disciplines. Extensive work experience can make up for lack of formal education.
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience working with bioprocessing techniques such as fermentation and mammalian cell culture.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex processes.
- A desire to work in a small, ambitious company, where your efforts will make an impact
- Self-management skills and high execution abilities.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality control procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven track record of successful project outcomes.
- The ability to work in a high paced start-up environment.
- Great communication skills.
You might also have:
- Experience within quality standards, such as ISO9001/13485 and/or cGMP.
- Experience with development of analytical methods and/or process design in a regulated environment .
- Experience in using bioprocessing software and simulation tools.
- Experience with scale-up and technology transfer.
